Linksys is an innovative feature that allows Linksys wireless routers and range extenders to work together to form a unified Wi-Fi network, similar to a mesh Wi-Fi system. While range extenders and wireless routers could do this in the past, one mesh is a unique integration for Linksys devices that allows users to “Linksys Extender Setup”, with fewer steps involved. If you have a Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router and range extender, here's how to set them up using.

What to do before setting up on a Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router and extender
Before setting up your Linksys extender, you must have a Linksys router that is managing your network. To help you, here is our guide on 2 ways to configure your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router.
Initially, it is best to place the extender somewhere close to the router so that the two of you can easily "see each other" and finish the installation smoothly. Then you can change the location of the extender to cover the area where your Wi-Fi is weak or dead.
If you want to manage both your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 extender and your wireless router from anywhere on the internet, read How to create and add a Linksys ID to your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router.
Connect your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 extender to the router using WPS
We believe this method is the fastest and easiest for everyone, and Linksys should promote it more. It only takes a minute and involves pressing just two buttons:
First, make sure your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router is turned on. Next, plug in the Linksys extender somewhere near the router. Wait for the range extender to start, until the power LED turns on. On the back of the Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router, press the WPS button. Then immediately go to the extender and press the WPS button as well.
Wait a minute and you will see the Wi-Fi signal LEDs on the extender turn solid. When that happens, the Linksys range extender is configured. You have automatically cloned all your settings from your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router. This is the beauty of the concept, and everyone appreciates such a quick setup.
How to set up your Linksys range extender from a web browser
On a laptop or tablet, connect to the Wi-Fi emitted by the Linksys extender. The Wi-Fi is called Linksys_Extender, as in the screenshot below, and it has no password.
Open your favorite browser and go to tplinkrepeater.net or 192.168.0.254. The extender setup wizard loads and first prompts you to set a password to manage the device. Write it down, confirm it and press Start.
The Linksys Range Extender searches for the Wi-Fi emitted by your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router and first lists what it finds in the 2.4 GHz band. Next, click or tap on the name of your wireless network, enter your password, and press Next.
Then do the same for the 5 GHz band.
The Linksys Range Extender asks you to confirm your settings and applies them in about a minute.
When everything is ready, you will be informed that the mesh network has been created. Hit Finish and you will see a summary of your settings, as in the screenshot below.
Close your web browser and start using the network managed by your Linksys Wi-Fi 6 router and extender.
